On arrival

I started the trip on the 19th in Kavala, from there I went on a two hour bus ride to Thessaloniki, because the meeting point was in the center of that city. The trip was short, and with certain recommendations, when we arrived in Thessaloniki we took the bus from the city to the meeting point.
This meeting point was near the famous White Tower and the gardens of Alexander the Great. As we had time to spare until the time of the meeting, we went to visit the surrounding area, and ate near the shore, where that day had spectacular views. The monument to Alexander the Great was amazing, and the White Tower very beautiful, although it reminded me of the Golden Tower of Seville. When it was getting closer to the camp we went to the meeting point and there we met the companions with whom I would share the following five days. The area in question is called Pyrgos, in the Chalkidiki area, and near to village Agios Nikolaos. After an hour by bus from Thessaloniki to the camp, we could meet, and that is that we would be 36 people from all over Europe.
The first day we don´t do many things apart from having dinner and having a first contact with the other companions. However, the next morning is when the dynamics would begin to be performed. Many of them seemed interesting to me, since at all times the monitors wanted us to know each other, and to talk about ourselves to the rest. Among the dynamics was to create a group of Facebook, a group of WhatsApp or by turns of five seconds to paint the partner who had opposite. It was really fun, and very interesting, since in this way you could meet people from other places. Some of the dynamics that we did was to expose our fears, expectations and things that we could offer to others during our stay. From there came interesting groups to do meditations or yoga on the beach. Also my housemate and I had to make a poster to tell the rest of our colleagues about our project and where we were doing it. There I could see that there are really interesting projects and that most of them are included in Athens and Thessaloniki. On the third day there was an activity program for groups in which we had to interview a person from the village (Agios Nikolaos), and in my particular case, I was in the group of the environment. So I had to ask questions related to the nature of the place.
In the last two days the experience focused more on explaining the EVS and the competences, as well as doubts that we had about it. We even did a team game about it! It was really amazing, because they solved many doubts I had, and the coordinators were patiently clarifying all of them. During free time, many of my companions and I went down to the beach, since our camp was almost on the shore, or we spent time doing group games. Without a doubt the place helped a lot since the views were incredible, and the people there were incredible. Without a doubt, this experience was worth living.
